Kris Tokarski and I first hit it off several years ago at the San Diego jazz and swing festival and in January he'll make his Central Coast debut performing with Marc and I both at Libretto on Thursday January 12th.

I couldn't be more excited to be making my debut at Libretto! If you haven't been there yet it's a wonderful jazz club in downtown Paso Robles that opened last year. It's below ground, evoking the feeling of secret jazz club you might stumble on in New York or San Francisco. Most importantly has a beautiful stage, great sound system and a gorgeous 9 foot Steinway grand.

Based out of New Orleans Kris is a featured performer both in the Crescent City and at jazz festivals throughout the US and Europe. We'll be joined by trumpeter Marc Caparone and drummer Riley Baker for an evening of classic New Orleans jazz and popular songs from the swing era, from the music of Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton to the swinging tunes of Tin Pan Alley.

Libretto is an intimate venue with limited seating so reservations are strongly recommended. There are two 75 min shows, one at 6:30 and then again at 8:15.
